Lucia and Francesco are the kind of clients every wedding planner dreams of. Friends you can always count on. And clients who understand the value of having someone by their side who shares their exact goal: building a day made entirely for them.
And “made for them” is exactly what this wedding was. Let me tell you how, together, we designed a wedding that was:
How it all began
When Lucia and Francesco first wrote to us, it was early January 2024 — for us, those were quiet days of catching our breath (from both work and the flu). Their email pulled us straight back into gear. And what a project it was: a wedding in Tuscany, with the ceremony set against the striking backdrop of the Abbey of San Galgano.
Our first meeting was a call. Us in our office in Imola, Lucia and Francesco at home in Milan, already picturing their Tuscan wedding together.
The “theme” of a wedding is the couple’s personality
We always tell our couples there’s no better “theme” for a wedding than their own personalities. A few years ago it was common to build an event around one broad concept — the sea, cinema, food. Today that approach feels completely dated.
Rather than a theme, AltroSenso weddings are about drawing out the couple’s personalities and letting them shine on the day itself. And do you know when the real challenge comes in? When the couple is so different from one another, with such opposite tastes, that reaching a final result that’s coherent, elegant, and satisfying feels almost impossible.
The palette for Lucia and Francesco’s Tuscan wedding
The moodboard we built for Lucia and Francesco follows exactly this idea: designing events that reflect the couple’s personalities, even when those personalities feel so different from each other that finding common ground seems nearly impossible.
This is Lucia and Francesco: a mix of colours that seem different at first glance, but are actually complementary.
Shades of blue, like Lucia’s calm and patience. Blue like Francesco’s sharp mind. Blue like their loyalty, their trust, their stability.
Red for their strength, for the passion they move through the world with, and the energy they radiate.
And finally, a touch of gold. Because, as we always say, gold looks good on everything.
An event personalized down to every detail
The experience you give your guests comes (partly) from the small details. Through their wedding, Francesco and Lucia chose to tell their guests the story of their life together.
Behind every piece of decor, every aperitivo corner, even behind the wedding cake, there was a meaningful chapter of their story. Nothing was left to chance — every element spoke of them.
We told the story of where they come from, the region that saw them born and where they became a couple. Abruzzo ran through the aperitivo as a common thread, with its cured meats and bread, while ferratelle wafers took center stage on the seating chart. The oil tasting, meanwhile, carried guests on a real journey across Italy.
Tuscany, the region where their relationship grew and deepened, provided the setting, between the Abbey of San Galgano and Badia a Berardenga castle. Thanks to Eventi Catering, the menu was personalized with irresistible traditional Tuscan dishes — the pappa al pomodoro and the wild boar ragù were a huge hit!
